We’re looking for a top notch server side engineer, this is *not* a web development position. You will have experience building/designing and scaling mission critical high performance, high availability systems on Linux (RHEL) with databases. Our application is a DB intensive custom service that performs software application recommendations to a wide range of end-users. We’re trying to change the way that people discover great software, and do so in a high-integrity “do the right thing” way.

Must-haves:
- 5+ years extensive design and development experience, 10 years is preferred
- Experience with scalable system design
- Experience in algorithm optimization.
- PHP and C/C++ experience
One of the following (bonus points for multiples):
- Extensive MySQL based application development
- Experience with using open source coding solutions
- Large scale data analysis
- Math/statistics background
- Test platforms / test suites
- Clustering and disaster planning
- Global server load-balancing
