How many programmers do you have, what sort of APIs are planned to be used right now, what are the target platforms?

I see you don't know what I mean by Graphics API, no problem though.

Just so you know, MMORPGs are rather complex (A complete under-statement), do some research on MMO design.

Another couple questions so that things can all be on here also (since I know I don't like digging through sites to get some obscure info) do you already have artists, do they know how to do 3d modeling? Do you have anyone with database experience yet?

The big question, is it going to be FOSS or atleast just Open Source?

I think this gets the award for most ambitious project ever posted.

The goal of this project is to recreate sensations such as sound, touch, taste, smell, and sight artificially. If successful, this project will be integrated with Rising Tide Online and will allow users to actually exist in the game world. This project can be compared to The Matrix or Code Lyoko in which people can interact in the virtual world just as they could interact in the real world. The project will include gathering a significant amount of research, getting the materials, and finally conducting experiments.

Layout/geography of the brain(to find out which section of the brain controls what sense)
    The different types of signals
    Methods of filtering these signals

hahaha, I see you found my other project, lol thanks for the award xD. After GHSTDV, I am doing a project that is called NanoAI. It will use nanoblocks and such to recreate the exact model of a single type of cell(such as a stem cell). It will be a synthetic cell that functions in the same way as an organic cell, except that modifying the parts will be much easier. For some examples of how it can be used:
Synthetic cells that grow(machines that are able to regenerate/heal)
    Synthetic life (robo-dog on stereoids)
Synthetic girls (hehehe, anybody here ever seen Chobits? xD)
Communication between synthetic and organic counterparts

@ Wraithan- Crystalspace has its own graphics API, its not a graphics engine, its a game engine. It has a particle system, window system, picture support, sound support(wav, ogg), and shader support. As far as 3d is concerned, I think that crystalspace supports 3ds. It has a program that converts 3ds to the crystalspace format. I have a bit of MySQL experiance, and I have a little to look up on it still. I have a few artist, but so far I do not have any 3d modelers. I asked a few people that did 3d at deviantArt but they were all busy. As for your last question...of course its gonna be open source, I'm not a code hog...:P

If you are using shell-shading, will it be like zelda wind waker on the gamecube?

I have a few artist, but so far I do not have any 3d modelers.
You might want to remedy that if you hope to succeed. These are hard to come by and for the most part I have found both artists and modellers to be just as lazy as developers. Internet projects are hard but not impossible.

    Wish you the best.
