Pervasive computing

Recently I was involved with a project at Penn State where we built solutions on a PDA using IBMs DB2 database. I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to do any work in the field. If so what has been your experiance. Is the thought out there that this is an up and coming technology worthy of thought and attention? A little of our project is on IBMs web site:
