Hello everyone out there , i am newbie in 'C programming language' and i need a help to make a PROGRAM .... Kindly help me out !
This is the program :- I have to input a 4 DIGIT number , only 4 DIGIT number and the output should be the sum of the VALUES of that 4 DIGIT number.
Likewise i input a number 1234 , and the output should be 1+2+3+4 that is = 10 ????

You should be at least able to print some output, then read some input, then perhaps be stuck right?
I have done all the efforts , i am having a PROBLEM in limiting the VALUE of the 4 digit number , so it doesn't exceeds 4 digits.....I can't get that syntex ??
There are lots of ways to do that. You should show us what you have coded already, though. And if you have to use certain functions, now would be the time to bring that up.

Update: In PHP, you probably access to the different digits of the number by the array notation. This works because PHP automatically transform a number (an integer) into an char array if you use that notation. The exact same thing can be done in C by using sscanf()
Yeah. Any boob can say he's been programming in x language for y years, but that doesn't mean we'll believe him and then proceed to give him code. ;) If you've really done PHP for 3 years, you probably know how to loop and read one character at a time. That's the simplest solution.Quote:

Show me the code in PHP and I'll convert it to C for you.
That's 7 posts and you still haven't shown your effort in C, on this program that you're asking for help on. I don't think we care how old you are or what your experience in other languages is, and your website isn't relevant to the topic at hand.
