I heard CSI is the ppls favorite show, but I think its bbbooorrriiinnnggg, so what do the smart people (thats us :D) think?
Personally, my favorite show is Stargate Atlantis.

Lost, House, PrisonBreak, CSI, but I haven't watched the latter in a while. That's the only TV I watch per week. And PB is over for the season, but what a finale :)

24. This season the technical dialogue and explanations are still bad, but the show itself is quite good if you can overlook it.
Sorry to ask the obvious, but you like MacGyver? I watched the pilot recently, as I think I may have mentioned a while ago, and it's terrible :) 24 is good too, but I have .. 4 seasons to catch up on! I've heard good things about Heroes too, but I've been too busy to extend my allowable hours of TV per week.Quote:

House M.D. like everyone else, and Law & Order. I also watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force on occasion. I don't have time to watch anime anymore; most of it is on pretty late and it's not that good.

We have a LOT of Modern Marvels on DVD, they are real neat and even fascinating at times, but they aren't true entertainment. (Might wanna be carfull how you throw around "Dogfights" right now. ;))
I really like 24 too, but SG Atlantis is still better. :)

For 24, I think my favorite season ending would have to be season 2. It has that good "final showdown" feel, with action, good surprises, and lots of action. A very good ending, and yes, it has lots of action. :)
I strongly disliked season 3 of 24, and try to sometimes pretend it never occurred. Seasons 4 and 2 are probably the best ones.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels and 24 [edit]and The Unit[/edit] are about the only TiVo I watch intentionally. Otherwise I see a lot of Dora the Explorer; Blues Clues; Go, Diego, Go!; and Scooby-Doo.

:) I have no problems watching them! Ireland seem to like Lost so it's on terrestrial TV a couple of days after it's aired in the states. But proxy should work.

Almost all modern animated cartoons are strongly disliked (Billy and Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Class of 3000, and many others - judged mainly from advertisements with the first being far worse).
Recently I've been wasting my evenings (re)watching SG-1. The wife loves Atlantis but thought that SG-1 looked dumb. I forced her to sit through a couple episodes and now she's hooked too.
Beyond that, I like House. No, I LOVE House. I have a fondness for characters who are complete ..........holes and yet possess hardcore skills. For the same reason I think Rodney on Atlantis is awesome.
Other people mentioned MythBusters. It's fun to watch but I get frustrated when they test things that OBVIOUSLY are not going to work. I wish they'd spend more time on myths that are actually worth testing.

I strongly dislike adult content. I'm the same way with M-rated games as well - I refuse to play or look at such games. I just strongly dislike the adult-oriented themes such as high-level violence (of course there's almost always going to be some like jumping on top of enemies to defeat them, or a series of big firecrackers going off destroying a model house, but that same scene on someone is too much. It's not just violence though (although it has the strongest effect), it's bad words (these have the weakest effect), and the male-female unitation thing (speaking doesn't count, this has the second-strongest effect, a very close second). I'd rather add another two weeks to my current song's already long streak than watch a 30-minute MA-rated TV show.Quote:

Isn't the rating decided on by the people who make the show itself (or maybe their network)? I know it used to be like that.
