I've been looking for a book, paper, etc. addressing source code and IP. Specifically topics like plagiarism, copyright, and patents. I'm a bit niave to the topic as a whole so I'm having trouble getting started. Can anyone point me toward some sources, e.g. websites, journals, magazines, books, etc., that address this area of being a programmer?
I've been working on these issues lately. I've developed a program called CodeMatch (in a suite of tools called CodeSuite) for determining software source code correlation for use in finding plagiarism. It's becoming a standard for software copyright litigation. You can download it at www.ZeidmanConsulting.com/CodeSuite.htm and use it for free on sets of source code less than 1 Megabyte.
