If you haven't seen this, yet. Here is a pic of a Intel Conroe(Core 2 Extreme X6800) overclocked at 5.26Ghz completing Super Pi's 1M Calculation in 9.8 seconds.

God knows what kind of cooling they had on this PC.
Liquid helium, or super liquefied rock or something, I'd say! Or they may have used that electrocaloric materials (stuff which cools when current passes through it), in making it, but I doubt it.
How long does that take on a regular not 5.36GHz computer?
Is super pi open source? I found the main site and the zip doesn't come with it (which probably means no).
Super Pi can be downloaded and tested yourself. Just to put it in perspective, though, I have a P4 running at 3.06Ghz and it takes me over a minute to computer 1m decimal places.Quote:
