It looks kind of funny. And these can't be right:
The little warning images for people being offline is pretty annoying. And the "Click some button I can't find to activate quick reply" is equally bad. Can it be disabled?
One good thing about this upgrade is that you can link to a specific post. Maybe you could do that before, but if so I didn't know how. :)
If you mean the same kinda thing as for thread and post tags, they've been around for a while.Quote:

No, what I meant is being able to post a link to a specific post; you can do that now by copying the address of the number on the upper right-hand side of a post.
[edit] Wait, you could probably do that before by switching into Hybrid mode. [/edit]
When you send a PM, the waiting cursor doesn't appear like it does for posts.
The FAQ link in the top "menu" (between User CP and Members List) links to the old vB default FAQ instead of the C Programming FAQ.
[edit]Ah, I see. I see it in linear mode. I've seen it elseweb, and I don't remember if it was there before. I don't think it was.Quote:

Didn't the board have scrolling code boxes before the upgrade, or am I confusing it with a different one?
Either way, I know the software can do it, and I think it's a nice feature.
With my browser:
Mozilla 1.7.2the quick reply box gets wider and wider if you hover your cursor over the top right or top left.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040819 Debian/1.7.2-3
[edit=2] It's fine in Konqueror 3.2.3 (using KDE 3.2.3). [/edit]
[edit] Hovering anywhere in the selected areas causes the box to grow wider. It's really weird. [/edit]
Well, currently I can't use any of the format buttons either in the quick reply box or in Advance Mode. They simply look like they are disabled. None works.
Also the C++ board has the user name, avatar and all that info on top of the message, instead of the left. It looks quiet confusing.
Mario, can you post a screenshot and tell me what browser you're using?
I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4. However the problem magically dissapeared. Both of them. I can now use the buttons and the poster info box is shown to the left of the post.
*shrug* It was probably something to do with the browser. I did close it and now that I'm back in, it's all ok.
I did try to do a quick reply, and no matter which wuick reply button I pressed it wouldn't allow me to access where I am now (in the quick reply), so I refreshed, and it woked fine. It was only that one time when it didn't work though.
The click a button to do a quick reply is gone now, many thanks :D
Twomers just sent me a message on MSN, it is not letting him log in for some reason.
He said he is on Firefox and Windows XP.Quote:
