The best c book?

I own C by Dissection, which in my opinion leaves a lot to be desired. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a better book. I have been programming in c for a little while, and have most of the basics down, but I am still having some trouble with some topics. These topics include dymanic memory allocation, pointer to an array. Right now I am doing an assignment where I have to implement a hash table, which utlizes a pointer to an array, and I'm not even sure how to initialize it. I have been flipping through my book for an hour and not getting anywhere. I have come to the conclusion that I need a new book. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks! :rolleyes:

The Complete C Reference Fourth Edition. It's a good book that teaches well for newer programmers and it's also a great reference for more experienced programmers.

The C Programming Language by K&R is excellent for describing the C language. For other topics like data structures in C, you will need something that caters for your specific needs. Algorithms in C by Robert Sedgewick is quite good.

I just bought K&R, looks good. Thanks for the advice.
