Does anyone know how to set firefox (for Linux) up so that it automatically opens .c files instead of asking what to do with that kind of file?
Most likely the downloads tab in the options.
Apparently the problem is not with firefox, but with the service provider serving the .c file - if the server sends the file as text/plain, firefox will render it. If not text/plain, then FF asks what to do with the file. I could fix that nicely with a .htaccess file, if the web host would allow me - the only problem is that it is Sympatico, and they don't seem to allow much of anything.
