I've gotten this weird error, from almost nowhere:

The executable that was produced is too big.
I've never had this happen.
Be carefull with resources. Probably to much of them
make sure you have sp5 (or maybe it's sp6) for msvc 6 installed also.
Stuff like this will take up a lot of space in your executable.Code:int big[1000000] = { 0 };

No, I took a shot at guessing what his problem is.
I suppose another example might be rampant template instantiation.
Or simply a crappy compiler ;)
