Wait they said infinity+!
I liked the counter with like 7 decimals :) However, realistically, I really don't care since I've only used 15 megs anyways. The attachment is still 10 meg max isn't it, that's all I really care about.
I've got 65mb filled up. I have people swamp me with videos and high resolution photos.
I've got 304MB used...but I've also been using my account as a small backup for my projects....haha.
they should probably have waited a little longer before releasing the news than April 1st though... lots of confusion over wether it was real or not
2 Gigs??? Yahoo offers 250mg and its more than enough for me.
I pity those hotmail users who still use a 2 megs account
Hotmail is great. Why would you need so much space anyway? I delete my emails after i read them so i always have 250mb. Besides if i want to send videos or pictures to someone i upload them to my schools ftp account, and email them a 1 line link. Now thats service.
Hotmail bumped up to 250meg for free accounts several months ago.Quote:

I believe some countries are excluded.
I remember reading something that said only certian countries got the upgrade.Quote:

Even if hotmail offer 1 gig , its still the worst e-mail in my opinion. The interface is slow\crowded and it's SPAM protection is weak.
Hmm... my bad. I didn't know it was a country-based thing. That's crappy.
hotmail could offer me a dedicated server with 1TB, and I would still not use them... their spam protection is absolute garbage, and their interface is slow (thanks to the 50 billion ads on every page) and not to mention the random errors I get on my system about a missing semicolon somewhere in their code, and the fact that they try to load their virus into my other computer every time I visit their site...Quote:

I've wondered whether there actually is 1 gigabyte of diskspace for every Gmail user, but like major_small said, there's never a problem. Nice company - I like Google. Very innovative.
How do you get a GMail account then? They say "We're currently only offering Gmail as part of a preview release and limited test".
I think it works by invite, someone with a Gmail account has to sent you a invite and then you create your own account and then you have the power to invite other people. Atleast thats how i got mine.
You need to be invited by someone who has one. PM me with your email address and I'll send you an invite.Quote:

Invite is in the mail :)
Thanks. And now to the tedious job to change email at 999 forums :P.
Out of curiosity, can anyone invite people to GMail? Couldn't find such an option.
Invites used be distributed randomly, but then every user got 50 invites regardless. I'm not sure how it works now.Quote:

Yap I sow that!!!
GMAIL is best!
Joke for 0% but not for 2053 MBCode:You are currently using 0 MB (0%) of your 2053 MB.

You have to use your account for a bit, then you'll get invites. It used to be the more you used your account the more invites you would get... id usually have 6 or so at any given time. Now every user seems to have 50. The send invite box will show up at the bottom of the menu options on the left.
how do you give invites to other people if you already have a GMail account
Anyone still with more invites left? :)
Wouldn't mind switching over to gmail from hotmail :p
There will be a indicator on the lower left of the screen indicating you have invites.
Orion, PM me with your email address for an invite.
If anyone would like a Gmail account, just let me know. I've got fifty of 'em.
I've got plenty left too, just pm me with your email address.
you get 50 new ones every day...
