While I totally disagree with how it was handled, and I think she had the right to die.
I would like to take a minute and give prayer that Terri Schiavo may finially rest in peace.
May she be blessed, and may her family find peace.

And may the freakin news people focus on ANYTHING else.
RIP Schiavo.

Being the best there is, Kenny is given a golden PSP that will issue commands to heaven's forces as the battle rapidly approaches. Just as the armies of hell start to attack, Kenny's soul returns to Earth, it seems that doctors managed to revive his body but were unable to save him from brain damage. His soul remains trapped in his body and the doctor's make reference to a "persistant vegetative state" and he gets a feeding tube put into him. The whole town of South Park gets involved in the argument whether to let Kenny pass on or keep him alive. At the end he finally is allowed to die whereupon his soul is released to return to heaven. He is able to take control of the golden PSP and in turn the forces of heaven's army where he leads them to victory.
Oh yeah... RIP Terry.
This shouldn't have been news in the first place.
No it shouldn't. Now we might be able to look at real news....you know like safety standards at oil refineries (the Texas accident), education (California), and I don'w know...maybe the war?
Man, and here I was hoping this could remain the only board on the Internet without a Terri Schiavo thread.
Oh well, at least this one was after the fact.
Why is this thread made sticky?
I second that. Theres so many other people out there that are in the same situation. I dont understand how she got to be in the news. Our professor spend 20min of class time to tell us that things in life arent always as it seem, and how religion was involved in this situation. Ok fine, whatever... but why does the whole world have to know about it? Why make it such a big deal? next you know every reporter will be looking at hosipatl patients to find who is in a comma condition so they can put it on the news and have a job for another week.Quote:

If there is a court ruling that the government does not like it should not be allowed to change it (ie allowing evidence gained by torture). Not to mention Jeb Bush's 'expert' evidence. Against all other opinions over the years (and from someone who had not even met the woman).
All we have as citizens, is recourse to the courts (if you can afford it...).
The second is that they can't 'assist' someone's death. They had to let her starve to death rather than give her a lethal dose of whatever (as a vet would for an old pet).
Um novacain congress and the president didn't overrule the courts. They gave the federal courts the ability to review the case. A bit of a difference.
Thankfully the federal courts basically said "We ain't getting involved"
