2 questions
Hello. Alright, let's get to the point. I have two questions.
Question Number One is Should I get WindowsXP? Is it worth it. I don't care about money, or how good it is for the money, I just want to know if it is a good operating system or not, and if it supports Maya4.0.
Question Number Two is Does anyone know a good FREE Unix shell account that I can apply for? Also, I'd like it if I can do some outgoing telnets and stuff. Thanks.

1. yes, it's a good operating system, and if you're willing to trust a 200 hundred dollar purchase to the opinion of a total stranger, then go buy it.
2. why do you want access to a unix shell account, you can do outgoing telnets and stuff with windows? if you just want to learn about UNIX (legitmately and legally), talk to your ISP. A decent one might provide you with a shell account. Also look into the open source BSD's or maybe even linux.

I know I can telnet in windows, but I've never done it in Linux. It's just a wierd thing about me.

About WinXP:
My opinion is that if you have Win2k or Win98 you do not need to upgrade to WinXP beacuse it is the same old b***s*** if you know what I mean.
