Hey! Long time no see, man! I remember the first thread I posted here, I forgot to add break statements to my switch block, and you were the guy to solve my problem! Aww... rep++ for doubleanti...
whoa blast from the past
Nice to be here!!!
I'm glad I could help and would like to get back into the swing of things so far as community goes!
Oh, and so much has changed... what's with these new green life-bars below folks names? =) Haha, it's so strange to look at the post counts and still be rather high in them...
In case anyone has wondered exactly what I'd been doing, well, it's been going to school completely. Quite a set of goals I'd set for myself, and new academic endeavours have abounded. Hopefully my future at graduate school will be just as bright soon enough, but it looks like speech processing will be my niche in life so far, or... at least it's the funnest research I've been doing to date!
Hm, interesting to note that there was a multthreading simulation program in one of my courses, and extra points were given to those who could optimize faster than the professors code. Well, all those tricks about inlining, avoiding double calculations, and using lookup tables... well I learned them here! Thanks to everyone and I feel so welcome! PM me if you'd like! Does... anyone have any questions (not about my gender!)?
Sincerely,
doubleanti
So, you finaly are going to finish "behold" for win2k and later?
I'm still waiting for that, it even gives me sleepless nights :p
welcome back ;)
Hahaha, and I thought I had a good memory.Quote:

Clicking on UserCP will reveal a list of recent additions to your reputation. You'll also notice people some people have lots of red bars. This means they are stupid. That is all you need to know about reputation...
edit: Oh, and there limits in place to prevent abuse of the reputation system. You can't give reputation to the same post twice, and you have to give reputation to 2 or 3 different people before you can give to the same person. I'm not sure if this was in effect when you were still here, but "I am sillyI am silly" shows up every time someone cusses, or forgets the 'f' in "left shift operator" (That has happened several times).
It's been a long time indeed. I want to look into the song signature stuff too... there's so much I have to learn though.
hi doubleanti. I missed your cool dos programs
edit: page 2 snipa
What are you talking about its only page one!Quote:

Haha... well guys... I have to say this!
My HD crashed on me a while back... and I lost _everything_... five years of work in school and all the programming too... not to mention the first two-thirds of college. =(
Well, for now I'll be working on phoneme recognition for speech processing for independant study research next quarter... lots of coding as I mentioned. So behold is... on hold... for now! But as it comes around (I usually dig in summer time), I will let you guys know!
Oh, and yeah, Windows may be an easier platform... dare I say it! Have no heart attack!
Thanks guys, what else can you throw at me?

Hey DA... Phoneme recognition, eh? That sounds like an awesome project.
Thanks! It will be an awesome project, provided that... I get enough accuracy so I'm happy. But then, there are higher up linguistic structures which will improve the accuracy. We'll see, I'll let you know how it goes... =)
PS... niice VSA site man, we have a chapter here too! Right on!
-doubleanti, the only non-viet in a structure of vietnamese linguistics class at UC Irvine... =)
