That is pretty sweet... no more 411 for me!
Now I wish I would have paid for text messages on my phone.
I recently dropped mine because I wasn't using them enough. I can still send and recieve them, I just pay per message (10c to send, 2c to recieve). Which is far cheaper than spending $1.25 for a 411 call.
let there be google ::heavenly choir::
Is this something only available for us??
Because i tried it yesterday and it didnt work, or is there anything like a european number to send them to??
;::edit::
nevermind its in their faq´s , its only for the US at the moment....
Hopefully it will extend to europe soon.
Maybe we should create a LMS for the homework thread starters here :)
2 words: wow.
That is very nice. That will be very handy for me every weekend. Why do we never hear about all these wonderful things google is doing to us? It should be on the news or someought, dontcha think?
its on their "Google Labs"

That seems a lot less cool than SMS. The same thing can be done pretty quickly with Javascript.
I'm trying it, but it won't index anything until my computer is idle, so I'll have to wait until I have something else to do.
I tried the SMS thing last nite and it works like a charm! I put in "Pizza hut.11111" where the 1's represent my zip code and it gave me the phone number for the one I usually call plus the other one in the city. It also gave me the address to both.
very creative, aren't we? I think we can all just go to the google labs from here on in and see thier next "effort to take over the world"... besides, this stuff isn't exactly for profit, and google is a cool company... leave them alone :DQuote:
