Free hosting without ads?

I dont' know clearly that if I register a domain name on namecheap.com can I host on free hosting like geocities.com? If so is there any free hosting without ads? :D

i dont know any of the top of my head but if you have a stable and decent speed connection you could set up your own webserver and just use a no-ip redirect
