New plane chrash
A new plane crashed in the city of Ney York today at 9:17 AM (EST) with about 250 passengers on board(correction: 246 parrengers and 9 crew members). it crashed on a residential zone in the area of Queens. Do you think it was made by terrorists?
I hope it was no more than an accident.
But, as for what I'm looking on CNN, it seems that it really was an accident, but there are some rumors that there was an explosion inside of the airplane.

I've seen just the same as you (I mean on the news). So it could really be just a very unlucky accident.
I think that if there was another attack, it'd be agian to big buildings, just like the towers.

yeah, but it's strange that a turbine just "fell" off the plane, and that the airport lost contact with the airport(sorry, "airplane")

Well, in the BBC news, they were talking about this type of airplane, and it seems that the engines have a special structure so that it is quite easy to take it off the plane. Because they are inspected quite often, and also, in case of accident, the engine is "dropped" so that it doesn't affect to the resto of the airplane. They are able to fly with only one engine.

yeah, they're talking about that right now, but, why did it crash if it could only fly with one engine?, and what made the engine fall.
they're saying that if the engine is dropped normally, there would be a rharper cut instead of a rough cut like the one there's in the engine

Well, I don't know about Aeronautics Engineering, but I do know about Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering, and for example it's quite normal that the ships have appendages to keep stability and if they are hit by a rock or anything, the welding is studied to be broken. So that the ship's structure is not affected by the incident. Same with yachts, when you design a boat that is going to sail around the ice, the keel (quilla, orza) and the rudder (timón) rotate or "go up" when something is hitted.

I hope that it is nothing more than an accident!
