frustrated at university network 'security'

Aghh!
the network administrators are so damn paranoid!
I am unable to vote in any of the polls on the cboard now - because of 'potential security violation' - i can even access my server control panel becasue i have to access on a specific port and it wont let me - this is just too restricitive and driving me mad!

All I have to say is: boo hoo.

Then don't use the university's machines. I used to work as a network admin for my highschool when I attended and the reason we had system lockouts was because some machines would hang on startup due to low HD space, most of it being porn.
