virus help
As I was looking for an anti virus program. There was an anti virus program that said it is anti virus but it is a virus. It infected my IE. I cannot reinstall IE. I uninstall install a new one over that install and it is still there. IE is implemented to greatly in M$ windows now every time I use IE it goes on downloads virus's. I got a good antivirus program "avg". The safeest way of me to serf the internet right now is using linux.
I don't want to reinstall windows because It might change bytes where linux is installed. How should I reinstall IE? If I just start windows it starts downloading a virus because IE is also part of the desktop. Right now for me windows is a virus that downloads other virus's for me to buy peoples products. If I push CTRL+ALT+DEL And goto the networking tab I could see that it is downloading something. I goto the processes tab and all processe are at 0% exept for system idle thing. Any help will be apreciated.
Thanx in advance!

Identify the virus, and get rid of it. If you can't do that, format the Windows partition and start again. I presume linux is installed on a different partition, if so I guess it shouldn't be affected.

What does AVG tell you/do? Is it able to fix it? Did it give you the name of the virus?

I got 3 files in virus valt. 2 are the virus files and 1 is a file that windows needs DLLHOST.EXE. How can I restore this file? Because this file is not there it seems to be one of the causes that programs get errors trying to read something at 0. DLLHOST.exe avg cannot disinfect this file thus I have to restore it somehow. Viruses I got are Torjon horse virus, downloader-esperonf (I looked up its definition and this is the virus that downloads other virus's to my computer also it multiply's by pinging a random ip address and sending a copy there.)
Thanx in advance!

DLLHOST.exe is (or could be) a rather famous virus. One of the variants is also known as MSBlast ;)
The Windows system file is dllhost.exe and is located in the C:\windows\system32 [or equivalent] directory. DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE.
The virus is DLLHOST.EXE (uppercase) and is located in the C:\windows\system32\wins directory. Delete the entire folder (you will probably need to restart windows in safe mode to do this).
That's not totally enough though, because often there is registry entries made.
You can check out this website to get removal instructions.

I'm going to format my hardrive. There is too much virus's to remove. Before I format I have a questions;
How can I prevent virus's from comming to my computer like the downloader.experon does. It pings a random ip address to see if it exists then copy's itself to that machine downloads virus's and starts pinging other machines to spread.
Thanx in advance!

Unplug your network cable until you've installed a firewall and semi-decent anit-virus prog. Then, plug the cable back in and go get all the latest anit-virus patches and fixes from windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
If you need a firewall, try zonealarm or something similar.

A Firewall, for starters.

I recommand Internet SecuritySuite for Windows users who need to protect their computer if consumers don't want to go with Linux (I don't like Linux). I use Internet SecuritySuite to protect my laptop.
If you don't want all the programs inside the Security Suite, then have a look at other products from McAfee.
Don't just format your hard drive if you have so many viruses in your computer.

I do not know how much $ you have, but Norton Internet Security Proffesional is pretty good. Firewall and Virus scanner in one.
