I saw one that used D3D and it was multiplayer on download.com, but the link was bad. :(

and the sad thing about that statement was that the tetrinet craze was probably less than a month ago!
wait until I make my game (I could say the name, but I'm afraid that someone might steal the idea)
BTW: that game is way too cool, but it's not mutiplayer (bummer)
