First this is NOT a clear screen question! :D
But I was wondering what LMFAO and those other "short things"
means (like ROFL, etc ...)
I (think) know LOL mean Lots Of Laugh
<note to self: tomorow, go buy a dutch-english translator dictonary>

WIBTLOLMLOLATROFLMROFLALMFAOPMLMFAO. BICOTMA.
In other words,
Well, I believe that LOL means Laughing Out Loud, and that ROFL means Rolling On the Floor Laughing and LMFAO probably means Laughing my fat ass off (since it is similar to other ones I've seen, but that's a guess). Basically it is a case of TMA or Too Many Acronyms.
As if there weren't enough of 'em out there. Why are these little buggers popular anyway? I do software and hardware and I have to remember that just because an acronym of an acronym in software means something, doesn't mean it is related to the same letters in hardware! gr. OW,TL.
thx
Now I also know the name of those " short things" : acronyms
Looks like I know have something to read LOL(learning already:))
CUL8R
Whatever happened to CASE?
That's a computer jargon acronym translator. I don't think it does every day things like lol and stuff.Quote:

I can never remember those things...Isn't it easier to just type our the phrase? Geez...
yeah, sometimes you might spend so much time just trying to figure out what the thing means... but then again, some of the acronyms are useful, as long as they're well known...
Ya...like OMG....
what did you say? (j/k)... If I didn't know what that meant, I'd have HARD time understanding the post... that's why the acronyms are often the exact opposite of being helpful...
so what is CUL8R, anyway?
I also saw it in a game
Oskilian
