If your looking for great high resolution backgrounds, check out the NASA picture of the day: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ I run 1400x1050 so im always searching for ultra-high-res deep space photos of nebulas and galaxys. Their archives have some great information and images.
