Fortunate are those who knew more about what they were getting into at the time they signed up, but sometimes it takes people a year or two of their undergrad to find out what their calling is, and even then sometimes they find it is not.

Yes, but at some point you have to assume the person has prior knowledge of what's going on. I'd like to play professional football; I'm really good at Madden. However, I'm not that great at real football, and am smart enough to know that it shouldn't be my career.
