Heatsink Help
I'm replacing the mobo of a computer at school. I've just dropped the motherboard in (microAtx) and put the processor in the slot. All good so far, now to put in the heatsink.....ah crap!
Here's the deal, right about the processor slot (about 1cm above, damn tight) is a couple of capacitors. The heat sink that came with the celeron chip will not fit on the board. What can I do? I could take a chop saw to it, it's just aluminum, but the way that the fan snaps on, only 2 sides of it would snap on now so it wouldn't stay. I need to find a heat sink that fits only to the size of the slot (socket 370) or maybe .5cm around or so. I really need your help so If you know some products I can use please tell me. Thanks a bunch.

I'm also a newegg fan, I hit that site up about 10 minutes after I decide that chopping up that heatsink wouldn't work (snap on fan :(). But i found a heatsink with a screw on fan at newegg, a bottom pick shows the heatsink surface, then the excess fins to one side that I can take the saw too. So problem more or less solved, I ordered the parts today. Thanks though, but if i have to do a repair like this again, we will be using the same setup, so a better heatsink solution is neccessary if anyone knows of one. Thanks.
Hetfield is a god. Rock on.
