I wanna throw a pie in his face too

I'm asking a girl to homecoming next week, and following the advice, that girls love corn, so if guys think it's corny, girls'll love it, I'm singing, "Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear?" Anyway, I got a midi file that sounds somewhat realistic, and I need to put it on a CD. Windows Media Player is having a problem with that step. Is there the same problem with all MID files, or is the file corrupt, do you think? I would test with another MIDI file, but I only have one-time-write CDs. Kind of a waste of 50c, and CostCo is a long way from here...

edit: So after banging my head my head on the keyboard until I had alphabetical scars on my face (they should have airbags so that when your computer crashes you don't bang your head on the monitor or anything), I decided to go ahead and waste 50c. It must be the MID files because several other files caused the error. Will it work if I get MIDI -> mp3 converter, and then burn?

The problem probably lies in the software, not the file. It should be able to copy to a disk if it plays on your computer, as just a file. You may be trying to burn as song or music file and it wont convert that properly. You may just need to burn it as a file. Hope you know the difference, and your software allows you to change. I would suggest getting nero burn software, or something better than media player.

I know where to find conversion utilties. Much less expensive than that, too.

Actually talking of conversion utilities gave me an idea. The only time I've ever successfully burned music, it was taken off a CD with Windows Media player. I just got a MIDI - WMA conversion utility and it works.
