Sounds like A/Cs running constantly on an outdated power grid aren't such a great idea.

edit: and remember kiddies, as was pointed out to me a few weeks ago, this sort of thing is only supposed to happen to the US!

1. I was referring to Europe and not the Island that still tries to be something special. ;)

2. Partial power loss at a few subway stations is something completely different from what happened in the US. If London was a US city, probably the entire city would have gone "offline" - and still be. hee :p

275,000 people were affected in "partial power loss at a few subway stations"?

Anyways, the power's back on now. Just wanted to say it's not like summer peak blackouts are only a US problem.
