I ve never seen this thing before is it pronounced C Number? shrug
Shoudn't this be in the C# forum?
Anyway, it's C Sharp. If you read any book (or webpage) it should be one of the first things you'll find (Mainly because everybody has the same question).
it's the same as in music... C# is like a Db
Imagine youre an oboe player, and you see a C# ...Youre not gonna think, "Yeah its that Db again!" ...Nope - It would be. .." AAARGH! Not that! ...Aaargh! ...Help! ...Noooo! ..." ;)
that's why I love drums:D
C-hash.
Just to annoy you. :p
i pronounce it "see shift-plus-three"
i see it as 2# (using a touchtone phone)
See-Pound.
:p
i changed my mind, i just call it bob
i want to call it bill :*(
I call it "whyuoldjaindf;osang;oasngo;aihngofduhgbalsjkbgosa uidgblasfjkbgoafbgaspoidgboisdgbopsfbg***********a sfdlghdof;ighpoighpoeirhgeoirhg soifdgjaoirhgokhfrkkkknjsogfihneoirh" but that is hard to pronounce, so I just call it "poasdfhnaopsughnasogiunb" instead.
let's just make it easy and name it after a program:
SQ3P XY[ u 6 8 > 6< >: @ 3
+3P 6: u 0!B t2 t6 % ut@4 ؎
W 6: 6< 68 6> 6@ VP>I uNN؎VW

I've a better question-
Why did MS name the language C#?
Why has MS gone nuts over the character "#"?
I mean,I understand y C++ is called so.In computer language "++" means increment. 3 is 2++. C++ is the precedor of C,its C's increment. Hence C++.
But what does # mean?
They create a language similar to C and call it C#.
They create a language similar to Java and call it J#.
MS names its products with really weird names.
If you draw "++" vertically above "++" thus...
... it looks like a sharp sign but all in one character cell, better than (C++)++ which presumably, you would understand.Code:++
++
