Favourites
In IE6, when you open 'favourites' you see a little icon next to the name.
Well, on mine you did, now you dont.
You just see a blue 'e'
It is probably Norton related as I just put Norton Internet sescurities back on, but does anybody know which part of Norton could cause this....like..Privacy control or firewall etc?
Or is there a IE setting for this?
Thanx in advance..
Please ROD dont say... www.opera.com

The icon is collected by IE6 when you make the site one of your "Favourites", it actually collects a file called favicon.ico from the root of the webserver you are talking too.
The icon is, somewhhat stupidly, stored with all the other crap it downloads so when you clean out your files folder or delete offline content, out go the icons. To me, this is a design fault.
You can delete then reload the site from your favourites ot try this, call the site up, then put the mouse pointer over the icon in the address line, hold down shift, then click the mouse and "drag" the mouse along the address line releasing the mouse button somewhere else on the address line. Next time you load explorer, you may find it has come back because on my Apache server, I can see IE looking for the icon again.
It is a bug, but not a serious one.

Opera does not have the bug because it does not have the feature!
