internet options---content---autocomplete---under history
You mean auto complete on forms? You can highlight a single entry, and press Delete to remove it.
thats just the thing, they WONT come off...its only on things i log into like for example there's a cprogramming one on there, there's also one on their from ebay, and keybank, ??? i've tried all the normal stuff, deleted history clear bar, even press delete on each entry and nothing. i got a window washer thing, still nothing? it's to the point where i want to delete them just to f**kin do it..... DAMN
First of all, your version should look like the below.
Second of all, download spybot S&D if you update and it still won't wipe it out. Spybot gets rid of EVERYTHING.
my bad, forgot the pic:
i swear to you, i have done spybot s&d, my room-mates friend told me to get it a few days ago. after i did the windows washer thing, i did S&D.........STILL THERE!!! i guess i'll just live w/it, im just kinda ........ed i dont have COMPLETE control over my machine :(
wow, that just doesn't seem right, SnD wipes out stream history from widows explorer for gods sake...do you have full admin powers on that machine??
My next suggestion would be to go to add remove programs, then windows components, then IE. Then reinstall it by going back in and adding it so it installs (you'll need the xp cd). That'll do the trick.
in light of the mozilla :: opera thread i said f*** IE and got phoenix.....then i deleted as much of the IE stuff as i could
i have a program called eraser, it erases everything by overrighting it w/junk 35 times.....5 times more than the nsa says you should, AMAZINGLY, after i did this to the internet explorer folder, the folder doesnt go away
i HATE microsoft internet explorer
Some may say that is GOOD, that you cant erase something important like IE.Quote:

And, remember lots of ppl use IE (like me) and have no trouble-it is how YOU use it and what YOU do to it that causes trouble.
Smile :)
why is it so good that i cant erase IE, if i dont want to use it, i shouldnt have too, and if i dont want it taking up bytes, IT SHOULDNT
What he means is some people, like pc repair men or the common user, would think an anti-remove feature on IE is a good idea as explorer and internet explorer are tied into windows pretty deep, and removal of one or the other, or both, could cause problems if removed un-intentionally.
If all else failes, last resort, try "reg restore" from dos, depending on the OS. Only problem, is, you may lose some functions, or use of certian programs installed after the last registry date.
