Binary data - Simply open the colour array and get the value you want.
Bitmap (or other format) - Open the picture in a picture editing program (Windows - paint). Most decent drawing programs should have a "pick colour" option where you select a colour in the picture, then you can see its RGB value.
basically i have an image i made in paint, and i want to use the color on my desktop and its kinda hard to just match it so i wanted to grab the rgb value, paint has the eye dropper but that only lets you grab a color and use it somewhere else, it doesnt show that particular colors specs. (not that i know of anyway)
xp.....yes:( xP
In windows paint (Xp):
1) Load the image you want.
2) Use the tool to pick a colour (eyedropper you said?).
3) Select from menu: COLOUR - EDIT COLOUR (something like that, I use a swedish version).
4) A colour window is opened. Click the button that opens the advanced version (Define colours... something).
5) There you can see the RGB value.
If my memory serves, this is not available in paint a la Win98.
