allegro with borland compiler version 4.52

Is it possible to install allegro on a borland compiler version 4.52? Because i wanted to install allegro and for some reason i just cant get it to work.

I clearly follow these instructions:
set BCC32DIR=e:\bc45
fix.bat bcc32
make

and here is where it goes wrong in some way errors given are:
MAKE Version 3.7 copyright blabla
Error makefile 4: command syntax error
***1 errors during make***

It seems that you guys also dont know.....
its not that i want to use allegro its just i need something to blit some bitmaps and play some sound .... its not for a real game ...wel its a quiz and i wanna load and blit some bitmaps and play about 2 sounds....

So are there any other graphix libraries that i can find on the net ...that will do the job ?
