quick question on direct file access

Hi,

1. What's the difference between seekg() and seekp()?

2. Any good tutorials on direct file access online? I'm trying to finish an assignment using DFA, but I'm trying not to be TOO lazy about it (i.e. getting someone here to do it for me)... :)

seekg() seeks an input position in file. seekp() seeks an output position in file.
