I'm running Win2k, and somehow my refresh rate got set higher than my monitor can handle, so my moter is just blank with a 'Sync out of range' box floating around. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Display Properties->Settings->advaced....
You should find settings for your graphics card, and usually, that should give the option to alter the refresh rate
I would've done that, but its really hard to navigate the display options dialog when you can't see a thing. :P
Luckily, I found a program called ResSwitch that ran from a command-line that let me fix it.
Surely safe mode would have worked?
Also, when you start up your comp, hold down CTRL (I'm pretty sure, but it might be ALT), and this will start up in 640x480/60hz, and will remove all overclocking. I figured this one out the hard way :rolleyes:

I tried booting in safe mode, but the res changes didn't carry over :(.Quote:

Thanks, I'll have to try that next time I screw it up. :PQuote:
