Quick Question
Hey
I have found that I have a lot of time on my hands now and I really want to start doing some programming and putting stuff out on the web for practice. Eventually I want to get into Direct X and that 3D interaction stuff but I think that is a long way away. I wanted to get familar with C, but I am not sure on how to do that. I know a little HTML. Is C to advanced for me still? What should I start with? If I can start with C what are good books to buy that are really helpful and informative? Can I really learn a lot of C just by checking out places on the web? Willl Web sites give me a strong feeling for C? If I just use the internet should I look into any books then? I guess its obvious I know very little about programing so I am not claiming anything here.
Thanks
Dan

You can go to the library and check out some books about programming in C++ - you need to learn how to program first before getting into 3D programming (DirectX). This site has a BASIC tutorial that can help you get started but there are many sites out there that can teach you how to program but I think the best way is to sit down and read a book - it's often more in depth than anything on the web.
