I'm right handed...but did you know:
over 60% of typing is done with the left hand?
And i use my left thumb for the space bar, so i'm using way over 60% with my left.
My guess is this poll will end up 10:1 in favour of the righties.
And if it doesn't? What if there is a mysterious interlinking between left handers and the field of computer science? oooohhh....*X-files music*Quote:

ever since my ring finger on my right hand was chopped off in a logging accident i had 2 years ago I have become left handed
Neither really. I naturally pick up a pen with my right hand, but a knife with my left. When standing and writing on a whiteboard I use whichever hand is most convenient, i.e. it depends which side I'm standing, (often that ability creates more interest among my audience then the point I was trying to make).
Nice adrianxw, for me you can say I'm totally right handed...
I can't write anything with my left hand!
Well obviously. In the long run you get more left-hand practice on the keyboard, because all of your mouse work is done with your right hand.Quote:

I write with my right hand, but I can use either in most other situations.
I am almost totally left handed. The only two exceptions are archery (I shoot right handed) and baseball (I bat switchhanded.)
Little Trivia:
Does anyone know the LOOONGest word typed with alternating hands?
right.
the longest word typed with alternating hands???
i dont really get the question...
by the way, i am right handed (99%)...
You type the first letter with one hand then the next with the other, then continue alternating between the two.Quote:

That was a question I had in Science (don't ask) along with "What is the bird that likes to eat the strips of rubber around car iwndows and where is it found?"
Blech. I got them both.
> And i use my left thumb for the space bar, so i'm using way over 60% with my left.
Yeah, but the backspace key's on the right :) (I hit the space bar with my right thumb, I just discovered)
yeah but the backspace doesn't hold a candle to the A and E keys on the left side (E is the most popular vowel in the English language)
I don't know what it's called, but isn't it found in New Zealand?Quote:

It's the "Kea", and yes, it is from New Zealand.
The answer to the other question is:
skepticisms
Im a righty, hehe. Although it would be cool if I was a lefty, they seem unique.
Have you ever noticed that there are no sout paws(lefties) as catchers in the MLB.
I'm a righty.. but the odd thing is when i play drums, my left hand can play quicker bursts of beats while my right hand has more endurance...
> E is the most popular vowel in the English language
You have to be kidding me. Yeeeeah right.
Why would you say that's most popular?
(not on single letter E...hey!)
I use my right for writing and swordplay but everything else just depends on what is convenient.
Proudly a leftie
im generally a lefty. although other things require right hand, i.e. driving, guitar (actually easier to play chords if you are a lefty if playing a right handed guitar); other situations depending on convenience. i would naturally pick up a pen with my left hand, although my keys with my right hand. im actually going to teach myself to write left and right handed, just for ambidexterity.
you could always revert to the saying that "left handed people are usually smarter"Quote:

because it is, you can look it up if you like.
I am a righty for all most everything.
i am right handed but typing i use both equally.
I doubt that... which shift do you use? Which hand do you use for spaces?Quote:

I'm right-handed but I eat meat with my left. I don't see the point in cutting meat using your hands in reverse of how you eat it. So I just eat how I cut.
