Moderator Nominations

New Moderator
Ok...The moderators, after great debate, have decided to add one new full super moderator. So here's what's going to happen:

On this thread please nominate and or second the people you would like to really see as mod, i.e. would do a good job. Please put nothing else on your post besides:

Nominate some guy or second some guy.

Nominations and seconds will take place for 4 days (until Tuesday 12:00am cst)

If you see that someone is nominated and seconded please don’t list them again…I have to count them all so .

If you are not nominated and still want to be a mod you will be asked to write a 300 word essay about why you should be moderator and how a mod should act. (Yes we do have a sick sense of humor here at mod central ).

From there the nominations and essay writers (that the webmaster chooses) will be put up to a vote.

The only rules that should be stressed at this time is that we ask that there is no back scratching or logrolling. We want this to be fair and democratic. In other words who do you think would make the BEST mods (not necessarily the funniest).

Please feel free to open another thread (not this one) fo discussion of the topic.;

Here is what our mods generally do:

Mods generally look at the boards at least once a day.

They use their judgment looking at posts to determine if they are appropriate or not.

They must be trustworthy because they will be able to do virtually anything to posts.

And they shouldn't be someone who is going to "over moderate." We try and edit down as few posts as possible.

Give opinions on the site

Answer questions by users, often by PM


These are the basic duties of a mod, however other odd jobs ones pop up every once and a while. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them eithere here or via PM/e-mail.
