some days ago I read something about backtracking and impressed by it. How could I acquire any more information about it and AI and so forth ? :)

Well as far as backtracking, a google search produced thousands of pages for me but I don't really know what your specifically looking for so go check that out. A nice place to start with AI in general would be cprogramming.com's sister site http://www.aihorizon.com/
