Words from the co-conspirator...
The question is more like "why not"?
Okay, I'm a co-conspirator in this project and I've thought of some stuff...
Of course there are always people who say that Microsoft's virtual monopoly over PC-systems is a good thing, because it creates standards. That's all good and fine but when the standards go awry (C# for example) the users pay the toll. MS has created some pretty good standards (DirectX has consolidated the graphics pretty well), I will admit that much but are they open for normal people to know how they actually work beyond the MSDN documentation? No.
We who believe strongly in Open Source (GPL for example) are quite convinced about it and so the next logical step is of course religion. Maybe some Windows coder sacrifices are appropriate for the opening ceremony :D
(If you didn't get it already, it's more like a mind game than a real religion, we just might go ahead with it some day, the atheists we are...)
(I won't bother to have an account here so the moral lecture ends here.)
