Projects?
I am having trouble learning c++, but it doesn't have to do with a lack of desire.
I was wondering if there are any projects or teams one could join to work on one could join to facilitate in learning.
I've done endless amount of excercises and such from books and "learn to program pages", and I don't feel it's sinking in very well.
I guess that I'm looking for something a little more concrete.
Anyone have any links to things of this nature.
Thank you.

Make an application for yourself.
Something you would use.
What kinds of things have you done and how difficult of a program do you think you can handle?

If you hang out here for a couple days, you're more than likely to find people wanting others to work on their games with them... I think someone posted one yesterday...

thanks!
Thanks for the advice. I'll be reading here. I'm not sure I'm up to chipping in on game project coding. I guess I was fishing more for newbie clubs to colaborate together to speed learning.

I'm working on a conversion project for work right now. The intent is to change channel numbers to frequency partnumbers and wavelengths[telecommunications job] and vice versa. It's a basic console application, but I plan to make it more visual type of application once I get the base code to work correctly. Currently, I have the channel to other info working, but the next phase of frequency back to channel and other info is hung on a syntax error.
I could post it, but I'd like to get a little more work done on it before anyone sees it.
I've been reading this board for a few weeks. Looks like a great group of people. Although, alot of topics are over my head right now.

sounds interesting. good luck with it. if you need any help, definitely post your problems here. at least it's not a "greatest game ever in a console" project. ;)
