MSN Internet Access
We're currently using AOL as our ISP, and we've been quite happy with it. We recently got a free 1 month trial of MSN - based on the fact that it would be a few dollars cheaper each month. We weren't very impressed. We can only check the hotmail account belonging to the person paying, MSN IM doesn't work properly when it's running, and we have just found out that we have been charged for the month. They gave us a three month period to figure everything out, and they gave us free Tech Support until then, so I just wanted to check if anyone else has had similar problems and figured them out. Any advice? Thanks.

How does neither sound? Just get a cheap $10 a month dialup account with a local company. From there, you can use IE and save big bucks.

There's another problem - small companies I don't trust because they haven't been able to make a name for themselves yet. Big companies however, make crap because they want to look good by putting out new products often - so if I could just solve this current problem.

I'd shy away from MSN if I were you.
As an onsite PC technician, I see alot of computers. And from there, I see alot of people with MSN. I can tell you, from what little I've seen, I would certainly never use them. Just too unreliable, especially for a company of their size.
I use NetZero. It isn't perfect, but for $10 a month, I certainly can't complain.

I've been using MSN Dial-up for 2 years now and have had a wonderful experience with it. The setup went well and since I got it I only experienced one day when it didn't work right (they were doing something at the place I called into with my modem, so I just switched the number - problem solved).
Now, as for using MSN messanger, I think the program is crap except for people who have no idea what is going on. I personally set up MSN to work through IE (I had some trouble there - seems you have to put a "MSN/" before your username in the username box), but now it works perfectly. I use IE and Outlook Express and have set up 3 accounts in MSN explorer for my family. It works very well for me.
