I ve a problem installing visual studio.net , as setup runtime files in cd labled" windows component update" doesnt work., it hangs for long time with no response . anyone can help me? or tell me where to install this "runtime files " online??????

If you go to microsoft.com and install all the updates for your system, this should take care of the problem. The first time I installed c++.net I had xp all updated and it didn't even ask for the cd. But the second time after i formatted, it had me use it.
