It should be on lowest anyway, that way you don't have to cut as often :)
Ahhh...the ancient question: What should be the height of my blade? The problem is with DCatfish's approach is that you may actually increase your time, due to clogged mower, more bagging time, etc. The best answer is somewhere in the middle...I just wish I knew exactly where...Looks like time for a computer simulation!Quote:

Actually it depends on which time of the year it is. If you cut it too short during the Fall/Winter season you are more prone to kill your patch of grass, and etc..

I've got a friend from work who's a big time golfer ( as in he worships the game ) who is in the process of completely revamping his yard. All Bermuda. Wants to be able to pratice his putt on the front lawn.
The money he spent on the time set, pop-up from a freaking foxhole sprinkler system is insane. Not to mention the hours and hours he spends working on the thing. Some people's obsessions.
