Question on fprint for USB

Hello my name is Robert Mckay,
I have programming question. I don't know if you can help me or not but here is the question. I have been useing the fprint function for many years back in the days of DOS, now that Windows has upgraded yet again, I am not sure if I can use the fprint any more, because they are now using USB ports instead of LPT 1 and 2 ports. If you have any information on this I would apppreciate your advice, also if you have a better idea that would be great too. Thank you for your time.
