Can you extract files from installation files?

can you extract the files out of installation files?

You know the installation files you get when you download ware?
they are just one big installation file with all the other files inside it.
my question is: how do I get those files, that are inside the big installation file, out.

Try using the latest version of WinRAR.
I remember using WinRAR and being able to extract all sorts of one file installations. WinRAR supports a wide variety of compression formats, but I can't guarantee it will be able to extract your files though.
