Any good tutorials?
Hello! First of all, i would like to say hello. I am Kim from Norway, and i would like to start programming. I bet this subject has been up alot, and i know google will help me, but i want to ask some professional people. I guess you guys are better than me, so thats good enough.
Is there any GOOD tutorials? I mean like GOOD Tutorials, i like tutorials that "The teacher" and the reader makes a program while learning.
Is there anyone like this?
Thanks.
Have a good day.
Kim.

I do not know about online tutorials, but Accelerated C++, listed in our book recommendations thread, uses such a teaching technique, as does You Can Do It! (if I remember correctly; I only flipped through a copy of the second book several months ago).

Hello! Thank you very much. I will take a look on those books. But is "Microsoft Visual c++ 2008 Express edition" a good compiler? Is it okay for beginners? :)

it's quite adequate. Just make sure you keep in mind that (like all compilers) it supports some non-standard language constructs.
Remember to compile to Win32 console applications for now, unless you're specifically working to create Win32 GUI applications or .NET applications.
