ligher Visual Studio?

I am currently using Visual Studio 2008 Prof. Edition. But it kind of runs slow on my laptop (sigh I need a sponsor to buy a new one). So I would like another IDE that can open a Visual Studio project, since I already have a project and want to continue it with something lighter. Any suggestions? I can imagine the lighter the program the less the features it offers, but...

VS 2008 Express might be "lighter", maybe not.

if that doesn't solve your problems u can also try SharpDevelop.
