Let's all be mature and keep politics-flaming out of this. But how would everyone feel about a modestly-hot VP?

VP of what?
... eh America if McCain wins, right?
Yeah - he just announced her as his running mate. She's the governor of Alaska right now.
I'm fine with a "modestly-hot VP".
haha

OK. Is it true that Alaska is both the most easterly and westerly state in the USA?
Even if it is true, there's no reason the prime meridian shouldn't have run through Anchorage.
(by the way how long before someone complains about the PC-ness of this thread? I say before post #11)
Kinda. There is that long island chain that runs across the longitude. Not sure how populated those are.
I was gonna do it in the first reply but then I realized that vbulletin sucks and does have any abbr or title bbc tag that I could use to give the real meaning.Quote:

Nah, she's way too old for me.
I don't really see anyone worth voting for this election -- not that MY vote would mean much in the U.S. though. ;)
Well, the "hotness factor" isn't what would make me vote for someone, but I'm fine with it anyway.
I thought Maine was the most easterly state.

She was the 1984 runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant
At least she has credentials.
They say Alaska's the most easterly because part of it goes far enough west that it becomes the Eastern Hemisphere
Isn't Hawaii more West than Alaska?
But I'm not that great with geography, so I could be wrong.
No offence, but she is just a cheap knockoff of Hilary. Attractive sure, but so is Hilary, then again I go for the brainy babes. Honestly I think McCain would have had better luck if he had offered the VP position to Hilary, that would have crippled Obama's campaign. The McCain campaign think people like Hilary because she is a woman, when in fact its because she is one of the better presidents we have had ;)
Yes, the Aleutian islands are part of Alaska.
Yeah, choosing Palin was an attempt to win over some of Hillary's supporters. They sure are masters at what Obama would call silly politics.
Obama at least knows about Bubble Sort.
So, did he say that "the bubble sort was the wrong way to go" or did he really say that "the bubble sort was the one way to go"? :)Quote:

Quicksort rules, bubble sort drools. ;)
He also covers Rick Astley songs as a hobby.
Most people have never heard of Palin before, which will make it pretty difficult to bash Obama for not having experience (although, technically speaking, Palin was at least a Governor...Obama wasn't even a senator at the onset of the Iraq war).
Also, McCain is going to die soon so it'd be pretty likely that Palin would have to be President.
I honestly still don't know who I want to vote for, both teams have incredibly strong and incredibly weak points. I'm probably going to vote Obama-Biden in the end.
He's 72 years old (and two days), which would make his age at the end of the next U.S. presidential term less than the U.S. life expectancy. Coupled with the fact that he has the money (obviously) for good health care, I would think that it is unlikely that he would die before the end of his term, should he be elected... unless you were planning an assassination? :pQuote:

Also, am I the only one that thinks Sarah Palin looks hotter as portrayed in the media now than she did 20 years ago?

Well certain styles have improved in 20 years :P
