Power Issues with C++
Now days everone wants to make complex Windows Applications so they use Visual Basic. If you attempt to make a complex Windows application, i can promise you the first compilation will have errors. There are too many Handlers and Messages to handle. MFC is just retarded because you have to add about a meg to the program to include the proper libraries. C++ is extremely powerfull and I can get some REALLY great programs out of it but I use Linux so i dont really need to worry about Windows, but I got a windows ME machine and have VC++ 6.0 but I cant make any applications unless i use Visual Basic.
What can we do about this?

Get a book on the Windows API (Something by Petzold should be good) or get Visual Studio.NET. With .NET i think you can use C++ and VB in the same application.

I dont have a problem with C++ on Windows, but I have a problem with Windows. And besides this was a factual post not a "help" post.

I dunno, "What can we do about this?", sounded like a request for help. Unless it was a rhetorical question implying that we should use Linux. If so, I'm not sure that the original poster is the best person to be dishing out o/s advice as Windows programming isn't so complicated that everybody needs to use VB.

btw: I was the original poster, i accidentally typed Lynux instead of Tyrael at login.

..and your point was? Wouldn't this be better suited to the General Forum?
