i have a few packet trace files, i can view it in wireshark to double check to see if what im getting is right. however im having trouble extracting the data from the file.
before i show any code do i use ntohl() to extract the info from the packet?

Maybe read the wireshark / pcap documentation to discover the format of capture files.
